I guess I should have a reaction to the news that Natalie Portman is going to appear in the next two Terrence Malick films including one with Ryan Gosling and Rooney Mara. It’s great because it means more Malick.
The actors, regardless of their stature are not the stars of Terrence Malick’s films. He’s the star. His cinematographer is the star. Malick’s collective of editors are the stars.
